Missions

Its missions concern:

• the protection of the aquatic environments, the development and monitoring of the departmental piscicultural field,
• the coordination and the support of the activities of the adherent A.A.P.P.M.A.,
• the development and the implementation of the departmental plans of piscicultural management and the leisure fish,
• the control of information and education as regards protection of the aquatic environments and the leisure fishes,
• the representation of the piscicultural interests near the various departmental, regional and national organizations.

TOWARDS A REINFORCEMENT OF THE MISSIONS OF YOUR FEDERATION

   The Law on the Water and the Aquatic environments (LEMA) of December 30, 2006 devoted the pattern recognition of management of associative fishing in France (National federation and Secondary road of the Fishing and the Protection of the Aquatic environment) and reinforced the means necessary to our structures to take part fully in the protection and the durable management of the aquatic environment and the piscicultural inheritance and to develop a modern and attractive fishing. According to the proverb the money of the fishermen goes to the fishermen, the law henceforth enables us to manage in an autonomous way the interests of associative fishing in France, with two key objectives: to protect or reconquer aquatic environments suited to the piscicultural life and to reconquer manpower of fishermen.

Strong of these new means, the Federation of Haute-Loire resolutely wishes to begin on these objectives. In fact, many actions developed and will be reinforced in the future in various fields:

• The technical field: the Federation has today the means necessary for the expertise and the follow-up of the aquatic environments and the piscicultural settlements. Its fields of interventions on the matter multiple (follow-ups of the settlements, piscicultural management, expertise on the mediums, installation and management of the rivers.) and are recognized by many partners (local government agencies, services of the State).
• Animation fishes and education with the environment: while developing at the local level, in synergy with associations of fishing and the communities, the demonstrations towards young people (contest, day.) and the reception facilities and of training of the activity (the Workshops Fishes and Natural, ex: Fishing school). But also by proposing our competences near the teachers in animation on the aquatic environment, in dialogue with the School inspectorate.
• The police force of fishing: The Federation wishes significantly to increase the monitoring of the mediums and the fishermen. With this intention, it engages of the means for the formation of the voluntary particular guards of the AAPPMA and coordinates their actions on the ground with associations. Formed better and revalorized in their function, these guards will lead a police force improved, more present on the ground, and with the service also of the information of the fishermen. As for the sworn in personnel of the Federation, their interventions of police force should be developed in a way targeted in the future.

The list of the actions is not exhaustive and the Federation will continue obviously its traditional actions more of administrative follow-up of the files, representation and defense of the piscicultural interests near the authorities, of coordination and support of the activities of the AAPPMA, information of the fishermen and promotion of fishing on our territories.
